I-10 Closed – east of Tucson from 9 p.m. Friday, April 8 to 7 a.m. Saturday, April 9
The Arizona Department of Transportation will close both directions of Interstate 10 east of Tucson and west of Benson on Friday, April 8 for the removal of the old Marsh Station Bridge and the Mescal Road/J-Six Ranch Road Bridge which was damaged by a major fire on March 15, 2011. Motorists can expect delays in excess of two hours.
During the demolition project, motorists will be guided by detour signs through a 67-mile detour around the closure. Drivers can expect two hours or more of additional travel time. ADOT is strongly advising the public to avoid this segment of I-10 during the closure.
