Next Monday, Feb. 20, will be the final presentation about three large predators that roamed the Rincons as recently as the 1950's. Jaguars (larger than pumas), Mexican wolves, and grizzlies are the "Big Three" of the high country in the east of the National Park. Learn about their past, present, and future status in the American Southwest, and see some dandy skulls as well!

Saguaro National Park (East) visitor's center (3693 S. Old Spanish Trail), in the auditorium, at 3 PM.

In honor of Veterans Day, fees will be waived at many National Parks and Forests.

Saguaro National Park will join the national park units in celebrating Veterans Day with fee-free entry into the park. This year, at Saguaro, the fee-free designation will apply to the entire Veterans Day weekend - Friday, Saturday and Sunday.In honor of Veterans Day, the USDA Forest Service will waive the day-use fees at many recreation sites or amenities on national forests nationwide.

The Coronodo National Forest will waive fees at day-use sites, Friday. Concession-managed sites may collect fees. Visitors to the Coronado National Forest are encouraged to contact the appropriate ranger district office to determine which sites will waive fees, and which sites concessionaires will charge fees.
