The onset of warmer weather has brought with it another seasonal annoyance - snakes - and agencies that often are contacted to help remove them already are seeing a spike in calls for help.
"Once the temperature hits 80 degrees, the snakes will wake up hungry, thirsty and looking for mates," said Daniel Marchand, curator at the Phoenix Herpetological Society in northern Scottsdale.
The season typically ends around Oct. 31, or as soon as the temperature consistently stays below 80 degrees. More...
