Karen Quach, a winter visitor, was hiking the Hugh Norris Trail in Saguaro National Park West on November 27th when she lost her Timex watch somewhere between Sendero Esperanza and the start of the switchbacks to Wasson.

She filled out a lost item report with the Visitors Center, but it occurred to her to write to the club just in case someone picked it up and reported it. She’s not a local, but it seemed to her that most people were from the Tucson area.

University of Arizona Outdoor Adventures at Campus Rec is seeking Volunteers from the SAHC to assist with Elderhostel Hiking trips the week of February 14 to 17, 2011.  Travel to trailheads and meals will be provided.  Opportunity to share dinner with participants is an option.  If you are interested please contact Dr. Tim Kidd, Outdoor Adventures at tkidd@email.arizona.edu or by phone at (520) 576-8612 by January 15, 2011.
