The spring picnic is May 7. All hikes that day should allow people to attend the picnic at Whitetail Campground in the Catalinas, with a serving time of 2:30  PM.  Hikers should not arrive at the campground before 1:00 PM. Also, there will be optional camping Saturday night.

During January through April 2011 Pima County Natural Resources, Parks and Recreation will be resurfacing asphalt paths in the Santa Cruz and Rillito River Parks requiring trail closures.

Beginning January 3, 2011, scupper replacements on the asphalt trail on the north bank of the Rillito River Park will begin requiring trail closures; the use of the south bank trails as alternative routes are recommended. More...
