Arizona Illustrated

27.Oct.2009 | Posted by Admin Filed in: Sabino Canyon

Tomorrow night’s "Arizona Illustrated" will air a segment on the habitat restoration progress made by the Sabino Arundo project: (PBS) KUAT Channel 6, Wed., Oct. 28, 6:30 p.m. The story will mention the volunteer opportunity on this coming Sunday morning, Nov. 1 to help remove Arundo from Sabino. We do expect a big turnout and could use help from those willing to lead volunteer teams, direct volunteers and answer questions. If you can help, please email tucson.arundo@gmail.com.

Also, watch for The Arizona Star news story on Thurs., (Oct. 29) about Girl Scouts helping to remove Arundo from Sabino Creek just a half-mile south of the Sabino Canyon Recreation Area.

Thanks,

Mark and Jean Hengesbaugh
