What: Cutting, bundling the invasive plant Arundo donax (Giant Reed).
Meet: Sabino Canyon Recreation Area Visitor Center ramadas.
What to wear: sturdy shoes or boots, a long-sleeve shirt and long pants to protect your arms and legs, a hat and sunglasses or safety glasses. Tools will be provided, bring work gloves if you have them.
Parking: Parking for Arundo removal volunteers is free. Receive a parking pass at the registration table.
Other opportunities: Jan. 3, 2010; Feb. 7, 2010; March 7, 2010. Or, bring in your community or church group by special arrangement.
